Pivot
Rearrange your MacBook and external display once, save it as a named layout, and switch from the menu bar.
Coming soon on the Mac App Store
Pivot is a macOS menu bar app for people who move their laptop around.
Sometimes the MacBook sits to the left of an external display. Sometimes it sits underneath. Pivot remembers those arrangements so you don’t have to reopen Displays settings every time.
Save the current layout with a name, like “Laptop stand (left)” or “Laptop on desk”. Pick a layout from the menu to apply it, including which screen holds the menu bar. Rename or delete layouts when your setup changes.
A shortcut opens Displays in System Settings when you need Apple’s Arrange Displays view. After that, save the result in Pivot.
Layouts stay on your Mac. No account, no iCloud, no tracking.
